Janitor Custodian

Seeking energetic, hardworking and experienced person to fill position.

Requirements

Employee should know basic cleaning skills as related to facility and be at least 18 years of age. High School or GED required. Ability to work as a team, maintain reliable, regular attendance. Demonstrated ability to lift, pull, push 70 pounds.

JOB SEGMENTS:

-Provide all necessary custodial services to maintain a clean and healthy environment in the YMCA facility.
-Clean rooms and offices, restrooms, locker rooms, multipurpose room, and lobby to meet or exceed member services expectations.
-Perform specialized floor cleaning duties including, but not limited to stripping, scrubbing, polishing, buffing floors.
-Removing stains and cleaning carpets.
-Notify when inventory stock and supplies for restrooms, locker rooms and cleaning supplies need to be purchased.
-Notify CEO when a problem needs fixing or equipment is in disrepair.
-Candidates must have availability to work evenings and weekends if needed

Education:  High school or equivalent (Required)

Part Time:  3 hours a day/ 5 days a week with an occasional weekend.
Hours can vary depending on need.

Member Services

We are looking for out going and motivated individuals to join our Y Family. Under the direction of the Membership Director, the Member Services Staff is responsible for providing excellent customer service and keeping members informed of YMCA policies and programs. The Member Services Staff will assist in membership development by building relationships with members, staff and volunteers.  Member Service Staff is responsible for customer service, membership sales and changes, program/class registration, tours of the facility, organization and completion of tasks, and communication liaison between the members and/or public.  We are looking for a flexible individual willing to work a variety of shifts.  Shifts include openers, mid day, nights, and some weekends. Lifeguard

Show leadership skills, know life saving skills and present professionalism. Must have  up-to-date information on how to lifeguard by anticipating an preventing problems before they occur and by taking action to help those in danger when necessary. Know safety skills, scanning, guarding techniques, emergency systems, rescue skills, first aid, spinal injury management, legal responsibilities and pool management.
