FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Switzerland County YMCA Policy on wearing face coverings beginning April 6, 2021
Recently Governor Holcomb announced that the face covering mandate will be lifted Tuesday, April 6. After seeking the professional advice of our County Health Department, we have decided to follow suite with the state guidelines and lift the face covering requirement at the YMCA effective, Tuesday, April 6. However, staff, members and guests may still choose to wear face coverings as an added measure of personal safety. Staff will continue to wear facial coverings where social distancing is unable to be maintained. Thank you in advance for continuing to be respectful of each other’s personal choices.
When visiting the Y, we would ask that you continue practicing strong personal hygiene habits, social distancing when possible, and perform personal self-assessments. If you are having flu like symptoms, please refrain from using the Y facilities, until you are fully recovered.
Thank you for staying with us! We look forward to being able to serve you now and in the future. If you have any questions or concerns, please, call the Y at 812.427.9622.
