Children's Programs

After School Fun Club - With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the support they can get. This youth development program at the Switzerland County YMCA is about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y’s core values of faith, caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.  We believe we can build healthy spirit, mind and body for all by putting Christian principles into practice through our various programs.  Because of the Y community, kids in neighborhoods around the nation are taking more interest in learning and making better life choices. All Children deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.  The children who participate in our youth development programs learn that character shapes responsible decisions. They also learn the value of social responsibility, the gift of giving back, good sportsmanship and most importantly, they learn to be secure in themselves.  Millions of today’s youth are cultivating these values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement.
